Every order reaches you as one clear WhatsApp message from Bites Local. Reply with a number to accept it and say how long it’ll take. We take the payment, tell you when it’s in, book the courier and keep your customer posted until the food is at their door.

Accept with a prep time. 20, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Reply 5 to decline. The customer gets a payment link straight away.

Cook once it’s paid for, with the courier already booked. The moment the customer pays, we tell you and book a local courier to arrive when your food will be ready. You never make an order that isn’t paid, and the food doesn’t sit waiting on the counter.
- READY
Pack it, reply READY, hand it over. You see the courier assigned, arriving and collecting. The customer gets live tracking, so they’re not ringing you to ask.
Got your own drivers? Accept with SELF (for example 2 SELF) and deliver it yourself: you keep the delivery charge the customer paid, on top of 95% of the food. And if a courier can’t be found, we tell you straight away so the order never goes cold.

Bites Local takes a flat 5% on food sales, and we cover the card processing out of it. Delivery is charged to the customer by distance, alongside a £1 platform fee, both shown on their bill before they order. So 95% of everything you charge for food stays with the people who cooked it.

Paid once a week, every Friday.
You’re not paid order by order. We add up everything you sell from Monday to Sunday and pay it into your bank in one payment on the Friday after. Every order is paid for by the customer before you start cooking, so you never make food that nobody has paid for.
- 1The customer pays before you cook. When you accept an order, the customer pays securely through Stripe and we tell you on WhatsApp that it’s paid, so you know to start cooking. This confirms the order. It isn’t a payment to you yet.
- 2Your share builds up over the week. For every order you get the food price less our 5%, plus the delivery charge whenever you deliver it yourself. The customer’s £1 platform fee never comes out of your money.
- 3Once a week, every Friday, you’re paid. One payment into your bank account covers all your orders from the Monday to Sunday before. It usually shows the same day or the next working day.
- 4See every order and payment. Your free Stripe account shows each order, what you were paid for it and when it reached your bank.

- Your first payout takes a little longer, usually 7 to 14 days after your first order, while Stripe checks your bank details. After that you’re paid once a week, every Friday.
- Your monthly fee (after any free months) is taken from your payouts, so there’s nothing extra to pay.
- If a customer is refunded because something went wrong in the kitchen, that amount comes off your next payout, and we always tell you why first.
